Hueston Woods State Park: Cedar Falls Trail

In my quest to hike all 8 hiking trails within Hueston Woods State Park, I was able to knock Cedar Falls Trail off this list this afternoon. I was grateful the park was dog friendly because the dogs absolutely loved this hike!

At .08 miles, the trail was quite easy but we combined it with Sycamore Trail to make the hike a mile and a half long. I recommend doing this! Both are quite easy, and Ohio isn’t steep by any means, so it will give you some good ecotherapy and pretty sites.

We crossed the creek and it was dry, however, I don’t anticipate it would be terribly difficult to cross if it were running.

Red tree markers help you know you’re going the right way. These were clearly marked along the way. This trail is a loop so the markings are found on both sides of the trees.

I plan on going back on the 22nd of this month to try to get at least four more completed. Stay tuned!
