He Knows My Name 🎵

It is easy to forget how small we are. Our life is our world. Family, jobs, social activities, goals, dreams, and passions keep us busy. From the time we wake up, to the time we go to bed, our life is consumed by what’s going on in our world.
When I pause and think about how I am just ONE of the 7.6 billion people in the world, it really puts things in perspective. Planet Earth has 195 countries. I live in North America, which holds 3 nations. In the great nation of the USA, I live in one of the 50 states. In Alabama, I live in one of the 67 counties. In Morgan county, I live in one of the 8 cities. I am one of the 500 people that live in that city. That’s pretty small.
Even though I am that small, the Creator of the galaxy, the planets, the countries, the nations, the states, the counties, and the cities, knows who I am! In fact, He knew me before I was even born!
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee…
Jeremiah 1:5 KJV
One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is Psalm 139. I specifically remember the first time I read verses 18-19 and how much they impacted me. Out of all the billions of people in the world, God thinks about me! Not only does He think about me, He thinks so many thoughts that they are more than the numbers of the grains of sand! And not only that, they are PRECIOUS thoughts! God thinks quadrillions of precious thoughts about ME???
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand…
Psalm 139:17-18 KJV
On top of that, but He knows everything about me… even how many hairs I have on my head!
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Luke 12:6-7 KJV
And get this; God actually knows how many stars there are and knows all of their names.
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
Psalm 147:4 KJV
If He knows the names of all the stars, I am confident that He knows mine (and yours too!). God knows who I am. He thinks precious thoughts about me. This is why my heart is so attached to this song. He knows my name, despite how small and insignificant I am.
He counts the stars one and all. He knows how much sand is on the shore. He sees every sparrow that falls.
He made the mountains and the seas. He’s in control of everything; of all creatures great and small.
And He knows my name. Every step that I take. Every move that I make. Every tear that I cry. And He knows my name. When I’m overwhelmed by the pain and can’t see the light of day. I know I’ll be just fine, cause He knows my name.
I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. I can’t tell you what’s in store. I don’t know a lot of things. I don’t have all the answers to the questions of life. But I know in whom I have believed.
And He knows my name. Every step that I take. Every move that I make. Every tear that I cry. And He knows my name. When I’m overwhelmed by the pain and can’t see the light of day. I know I’ll be just fine, cause He knows my name.
He knew who I was when He carried the cross. He knew that I would fail Him but he took the loss
And He knows my name. Every step that I take. Every move that I make. Every tear that I cry. And He knows my name. When I’m overwhelmed by the pain and can’t see the light of day. I know I’ll be just fine, cause He knows my name.
Every step that I take. Every move that I make. Every tear that I cry.
